BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19 Campaign Materials

The Philippine Department of Health, with support from USAID’s Breakthrough ACTION project, developed a social and behavior change campaign focused on COVID-19 preventive behaviors.

The campaign encourages people to #BIDASolusyon (Be The Solution) by following 4 BIDA behaviors:

  • B – Bawal walang mask (Don’t go out without a mask)
  • – I-sanitize ang mga kamay, iwas hawak sa mga bagay (Sanitize your hand, avoid touching things)
  • D – Dumistansya ng isang metro (Keep your distance of 1 meter)
  • A – Alamin ang totoong impormasyon (Know the right information)

It is a multimedia campaign to maximize reach and enable behavior.

    Awareness and Education Campaign on COVID-19 for Pharmacy Professionals in the Philippines

    In an effort to expand public efforts to arrest the progress of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) collaborated with mClinica, an Asian regional tech startup that develops and operates mobile platforms, to build the capacity of the pharmacy workforce in the Philippines to communicate effectively with customers about COVID-19.

        COVID-19 Testing Communications Toolkit

        The COVID-19 Testing Communications Toolkit is a free, public resource for anyone looking to communicate the importance of COVID-19 testing to communities. It is designed for use in the US, but can be used for communities in other parts of the world as well.

        The toolkit includes evidence-based tutorials, handouts, and image library to help in translating public health goals into motivating, clear messages that educate the public about why, when, and where to get tested, even if they feel healthy.

            Know What to do if You Have COVID-19 Symptoms or Have Been Exposed to COVID-19

            Washington state produced a series of animations in English and Spanish (15-, 30- and 60-second versions) and associated posters and social media content that repurposes the video content. The goal of these materials is to help people understand what they should do if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 – get tested, participate in contact tracing, stay home.

              COVID-19 Health Literacy Project

              This project creates and translates accessible COVID-19 information into different languages to help all patients know when, and how, to seek care. The materials are created in collaboration with Harvard Health Publishing.

              All of the materials are reviewed and vetted by physicians and medical school faculty members at the Harvard hospitals. These materials are created in collaboration with Harvard Health Publishing. The materials are freely available for download and distribution without copyright restrictions. The project currently supports 35 languages.

                COVID-19 Kenya – IEC Materials and Campaigns Tracker

                This tracker lists over 100 COVID-19 social and behavior change materials produced in Kenya and in other countries.

                The list includes posters, pamphlets, radio ads, television ads, videos, posters, memes, and other media produced to introduce various aspects of COVID-19 to the public.
