Sierra Leone COVID-19 Big Idea of the Week Campaign

The Big Idea of the Week delves deeper into a specific COVID-related topic. Each week, Big Idea tackles a specific area of COVID-19 and provides important information, guidelines, and messages for the public.

Breakthrough ACTION, led by Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP), in partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) National COVID-19 Emergency Response Center (NACOVERC), creates these messages. They are disseminated on the Ministry website and via the Ministry of Information and Communication’s Facebook page.

Social Media Campaign for COVID-19 Vaccination

Breakthrough ACTION/JHU conducted social media activities in support of the national SIAP (Semangat Dapat Vaksinasi Lengkap (READY – To Complete the Dose ) campaign targeting the younger population using social media. The campaign motivates the audience  to increase trust in COVID-19 vaccination safety and effectiveness, with emphasizing messages on the personal risk and collective health consequences if not vaccinated.

This COVID-19 flyer was developed to increase knowledge about booster doses among the general public,  especially persons who have completed the primary vaccination series. It comes with Frequently Asked Questions and responses that serve as a guide to health workers for community dialogue on COVID-19 activities.

Le 22 juillet, le district de Kaffrine a effectué le lancement régional de la région de Kaffrine. La cérémonie a eu lieu à Nganda avec la participation d’une forte délégation de l’USAID Senegal. EU COVAX Response

Since the onset of the pandemic in Ethiopia, the SNNP region was one of the recipients of UNICEF’s response in terms of finance, logistics, and technical support both at the regional health bureau and woreda levels. This was made possible through the funding of The EU Humanitarian Aid fund for UNICEF to reach the vaccine-eligible population residing in the most vulnerable communities across Ethiopia with COVID-19 vaccines and transmit key messages on COVID-19 prevention.

Video Choreography SIAP – General Population Version

BA COVID-19 Project Indonesia developed a video choreography using Jingle from the campaign SIAP.

This choreography is used for Community engagement activity/events to increase awareness on COVID-19 messaging that is conveyed through the jingle lyric and the choreography.
