            Breakthrough ACTION Côte d’Ivoire COVID-19 Vaccination Video Spot: Get Vaccinated Like Me

            This video spot from Côte d’Ivoire was developed as the result of an analysis emerging from the national rumor management system indicating that people continued to be concerned regarding rumors around side effects, and wanted to see others like them getting vaccinated before making a decision.  The spot aims to convey a positive and varied image of the protection that vaccination provides to people from different stages of life; it features people of a variety of ages, profiles, and occupations displaying their vaccination cards, describing their vaccination experience, dispelling rumors about severe side effects, and affirming that vaccination was easy, had minimal side effects, and that the protection it affords them against COVID-19 is worth the effort.

              Côte d’Ivoire “Bon a Savoir” (Good to Know) COVID-19 Vaccine social media graphics series

              The “Good to Know” (Bon a Savoir)  series consists of graphics shared on the Côte d’Ivoire Ministry of Health’s social media platforms to address COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy. Individual graphics concisely address key rumors and misinformation that affect vaccine confidence according to the national rumor management system:

              -Widespread availability of the vaccine across the country

                Relance Vaccination Kaffrine – Évènement pilot

                Le 22 juillet, le district de Kaffrine a effectué le lancement régional de la région de Kaffrine. La cérémonie a eu lieu à Nganda avec la participation d’une forte délégation de l’USAID Senegal. Pour l’occasion des supports comme des banderoles, des Kakémonos, des Tee-shirts, lacostes et casquette ont été produits et distribués.

                  USAID’s Lecture Pour Tous activity helped Senegalese children continue reading during school closures due to COVID-19. Reading programs were broadcast on radio and television. Reading clubs encouraged parents to read with their children, and distance training modules supported teachers’ professional development.

                    Campagne de relance de la vaccination avec des célébrités

                    Des artistes de renommée nationale et internationale comme Wally Balago Seck et Baba Maal se sont engagés pour apporter leur contribution à la riposte. Chacun a consenti à produire des supports audiovisuels comportant un appel aux populations et mettant l’accent sur la sûreté, l’efficacité et la gratuité des vaccins. Ces supports sont constitués d’une capsule vidéo destinée à une diffusion TV et des réseaux sociaux, de messages audios à diffuser à travers des radios nationales et communautaires ainsi que sur les réseaux sociaux, d’une courte chanson déclinée en clip de 2 minutes et d’images destinées aux différents supports de communication.
