COVID-19 is not completely over yet, so these material draw attention to the symptoms of COVID so that people can go to the health unit to get tested in case of any symptoms and if positive, get treatment straight away if they have not passed five days.
Since 2021, Breakthrough ACTION, led by Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, has worked in close partnership with the Liberia Ministry of Health to develop COVID-19 communication materials. Many of the materials have been developed under the larger umbrella health campaign “Healthy Life”, while other materials have been developed for specific campaign surges.
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), together with the countries and territories of the Region of the Americas and its partners, celebrated the 21st annual Vaccination Week in the Americas (VWA) and the 12th World Immunization Week (WIW) under the call to action: Get Up-to-date, April 22 to 29, 2023 using the hashtag #EachVaccineCounts.

This research report presents results of a study funded by Johnson & Johnson on Breakthrough ACTION’s ongoing national mass media campaign to promote COVID-19 vaccination in Nigeria, entitled “Follow Who Know Road.” The report shows that out of the 26 million people the campaign reached who were unvaccinated, 14 million later received a vaccine dose and 5 million wanted to get one.
Breakthrough ACTION Philippines partnered with three online communities for moms to prompt discussion around COVID-19 vaccines. BA and partners in the Philippines created social media posts and an online talk show that addresses myths, misconceptions and misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.
Breakthrough ACTION Philippines, in partnership with the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) and UNICEF, created an adaptation of the BIDA Kid print materials to better resonate with the Muslim communities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The Big Idea of the Week delves deeper into a specific COVID-related topic. Each week, Big Idea tackles a specific area of COVID-19 and provides important information, guidelines, and messages for the public.
Breakthrough ACTION, led by Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP), in partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) National COVID-19 Emergency Response Center (NACOVERC), creates these messages. They are disseminated on the Ministry website and via the Ministry of Information and Communication’s Facebook page.
This leaflet was developed by Ghana Health Service and Breakthrough ACTION, with key messages about COVID-19 vaccination for pregnant women. It contains Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs) with basic answers to serve as a reference for health workers, and other community members, especially pregnant women to increase knowledge of COVID-19 vaccination for pregnant women.
