EU COVAX Response

Since the onset of the pandemic in Ethiopia, the SNNP region was one of the recipients of UNICEF’s response in terms of finance, logistics, and technical support both at the regional health bureau and woreda levels. This was made possible through the funding of The EU Humanitarian Aid fund for UNICEF to reach the vaccine-eligible population residing in the most vulnerable communities across Ethiopia with COVID-19 vaccines and transmit key messages on COVID-19 prevention.

        Des artistes de renommée nationale et internationale comme Wally Balago Seck et Baba Maal se sont engagés pour apporter leur contribution à la riposte. Chacun a consenti à produire des supports audiovisuels comportant un appel aux populations et mettant l’accent sur la sûreté, l’efficacité et la gratuité des vaccins. Ces supports sont constitués d’une capsule vidéo destinée à une diffusion TV et des réseaux sociaux, de messages audios à diffuser à travers des radios nationales et communautaires ainsi que sur les réseaux sociaux, d’une courte chanson déclinée en clip de 2 minutes et d’images destinées aux différents supports de communication.

                These 60-90 second video clips were produced by Breakthrough ACTION, in close collaboration with Ghana Health Service, to support the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ghana. The videos feature the Ghana Health Services’ COVID-19 Vaccine Ambassador, Celestine Donkor, debunking common vaccine rumors and promoting uptake among the general public and segmented population such as pregnant women and youth. The videos are available in English and capture different messages on COVID-19 and vaccination.
