Through a young couple’s arguments at a bus stop, this short video, in Entertainment-Education style, highlights the importance of getting vaccines, why a second dose is critical to bring your immunity to where your body can easily fight the virus, and why it is important to continue to wear masks, even if you are fully vaccinated. By countering popular misconceptions (from the young man), the young woman, and her educated bus stop companion model COVID-safe behavior.

Translink launches Wearing is Caring Campaign

TransLink is today launching a new campaign aimed at promoting the use of face coverings and non-medical masks on Metro Vancouver’s transit system. As part of the ‘Wearing is Caring’ campaign, more than 15,000 TransLink branded masks will be handed out at key transit hubs over coming weeks.

Street teams will be positioned at random locations across the system and customers may find they’re especially easy to spot when accompanied by TransLink’s new mask-wearing bus. The @TransLinkNews Twitter account will share the location and times on the day of each giveaway.

These materials, al produced in French, were developed by Breakthrough ACTION Cote d’Ivoire in conjunction with its government partners as part of a broader campaign to promote COVID-19 prevention behaviors and address COVID-19 related stigma.

SBC Materials include spots, posters, pamphlets on the following topics:

Social distancing and mask-wearing amongst young people;
Observance of prevention measures in places of worship (mosques; Catholic and evangelical churches)
Reintegration of those recovered from COVID-19 into communities and avoidance of stigma
COVID-19 Considerations for those seeking routine HIV and malaria-related services or involved in implementing routine activities for prevention of HIV/malaria

In-depth qualitative research conducted by the project informed interventions and messaging to address COVID-19 related stigma.
