COVID-19 SBC Message Guide

Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) conducted a COVID-19 prevention campaign with funding from the United States Agency for International Development under the global Breakthrough ACTION mechanism. Under this project, CCP supported the RCCE team in Ethiopia to develop a comprehensive message guide that informs the development of SBC campaigns and materials.

              An Imperative for the National Public Health School in Burkina Faso to Promote the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Critical Analysis

              The NIH conducted a critical analysis in Burkina Faso based on information from the gray literature of NPHS. This critical analysis was preceded by a review of systematic reviews on barriers and facilitating factors to using ICTs in higher education and a systematic review of ICT use during the COVID-19 pandemic in higher education. An ICT integration model and a clustering of ICT integration factors guided the analysis.

                Radio is used to communicate to millions about COVID-19 in Burkina Faso

                DMI has created 24 one-minute radio spots on COVID-19. These are being broadcast over 6 months from May to October 2020 by 39 radio stations across the country. Broadcasts are 10 times a day and at peak listening times. The spots are each translated and produced in 10 local languages. They include messages encouraging specific behaviours, which are based on the Burkina Faso Ministry of Health’s COVID response plan, and developed with advice from World Health Organisation Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (WHO GOARN) and Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
