USAID’s NISHTHA USAID’s health systems strengthening project, implemented by Jhpiego, developed risk communication materials focusing on COVID-19 for use in communities in 12 Indian States. The materials will be used to address wellness concerns, particularly of the elderly, children, TB patients, and pregnant women who continue to need critical health care during this national emergency.
This tweet from Jhpiego quotes the World Health Organization’s recommendations for pregnant women and breastfeeding women during the time of COVID-19.
The recommendations include receiving routine care, breastfeeding counseling, and practicing good hygiene routines.
