In response to the COVID-19 pandemic UNICEF, with the help of funding from Johnson & Johnson, US Centers of Disease Control and the Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), has sourced and digitzed a health worker training content library that can be deployed on a variety of digital channels, including SMS, Social Media Messaging Apps (i.e., WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Viber, Telegram), and other app-based learning management systems.

Este recurso irá equipar os profissionais de saúde da linha de frente com o conhecimento e as habilidades necessárias para continuar a fornecer serviços comunitários preventivos e promocionais, para conduzir a comunicação de risco e o envolvimento da comunidade e para apoiar a vigilância baseada na comunidade. Os profissionais de saúde no local são apoiados com mensagens precisas e digeríveis que podem ser implantadas prontamente em suas comunidades.

These courses are primarily designed for community-based health workers who practice in low- and middle-income countries. It covers a range of topics on COVID-19, including basic information on the virus and how to mitigate its public health effects. The course is designed to synthesize the most important, high-level information on COVID-19 from a variety of well-respected resources in a practical way.
