Innovative and Effective Strategies on Demand Promotion and Risk Communication and Community Engagement among High-risk and Vulnerable Groups

Join us from June 22 to June 23. There remains an urgent need to accelerate COVID-19 vaccine uptake in low-income countries. Only 58 countries have met the WHO target of 70% vaccination coverage for COVID-19, the majority of which are high income countries. Low-income countries have meanwhile only vaccinated slightly over 10% of their populations. Accelerating COVID-19 vaccine uptake while continuing to promote routine immunization and primary health care necessitates continued political leadership and the prioritized implementation of demand-related and Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) intervenciones.

This virtual event will convene policymakers, demand promotion and RCCE practitioners, investigadores, and stakeholders to highlight examples of proven policy, vaccine demand, and RCCE interventions.

Human-Centred Design for Tailoring Immunization Programmes

Join us on June 21. Human-centred design for tailoring immunization programmes (HCD-TIP) is a new tool that can be used by all immunization professionals to diagnose barriers to vaccine uptake and co-design solutions that meet community needs. This step-by-step, practical guide created by WHO and UNICEF includes adaptable templates and tools to help you get started quickly and easily. The Behavioral Science Network has been sharing each step of this guide online this week.
