Visualizing Global COVID-19 Behaviors and Vaccine Perceptions in 100+ Countries: Data and Insights from the New COVID Behaviors Dashboard

September 21, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am EDT

COVID Behaviors Dashboard

What are the reasons driving vaccine hesitancy around the world? What structural barriers are preventing people from accessing available vaccines? Which demographic groups are open to receiving more information—and what are those information needs? Join experts from Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs for a tour of the new COVID Behaviors dashboard (covidbehaviors.org).

This website and data visualization is supported through Facebook Data for Good and reflects a collaboration between Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, the World Health Organization, Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network, Delphi Group at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Maryland Social Data Science Center.

Behavioral researchers at Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs will present findings from the data. More than 10 million adults in more than 100 countries have responded to the survey in the previous four months; new data are added twice a month. Global-level analyses will describe variation across gender, age groups and regions on the topic of vaccine hesitancy, reasons for hesitancy and reported structural barriers. Additional presentations will provide an overview of social norms and related prevention behaviors.
