The Role of Young People in “Infodemic Management” During the COVID-19 Pandemic

July 23, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am UTC+0

WHO Infodemic Management

Engaging young people during the COVID-19 health emergency and involving them effectively in infodemic management, including risk communication and community engagement is a critical part of the United Nations’ COVID-19 global response plan. Failure to connect and communicate well with young people during this pandemic will affect their ability to protect themselves, their loved ones and their communities, and can erode their trust in health-care and other institutions. This webinar will highlight the role of young people in “infodemic management” including risk communication, community engagement and access to information and establish a collaboration platform between youth organisations and UN agencies to support young people in the COVID-19 response.
