Around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic is pushing LGBTI people into poverty and exposing marginalized LGBTI people to increased surveillance, violence, and abuse. Communities are urgently responding to a flurry of new human rights abuses stemming from hastily enacted measures to contain COVID-19 and new forms of scapegoating and blame. LGBTI-led organizations and regional networks are on the frontlines of responding and designing innovative programs to support those most in need.
This webinar seeks to highlight the approaches and strategies that regional networks are taking to respond to human rights violations and deprivations resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and government measures to contain it.
