We are excited to announce that The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (PMNCH) and CORE Group are co-hosting Lives in the Balance: A COVID-19 Summit for the Health and Well-Being of Women, Children, and Adolescents on July 1-2, 2020. Implementers, UN agencies, academics, donors, private sector, youth, civil society, community health advocates and more are invited to participate in this virtual event.
Health systems, as well as social and political structures in many countries are under tremendous strain due to COVID-19 and its secondary affects. As past pandemics have shown, too often women, children, adolescents, and the most vulnerable are often excluded from decision making processes or program implementation, while bearing the brunt of the impact. There is now an urgent need to reflect and learn from each other as we simultaneously continue with efforts to address the current crisis, plan for COVID-19 recovery, and prepare for future pandemics and other challenges.
Don’t miss this highly interactive and engaging Summit where you’ll have an opportunity to:
- Pause and REFLECT on the global response to COVID-19 and provide an opportunity for introspection to better prepare for the healthy recovery that the world needs.

This summit is free and open to the public. Plenary sessions will be translated to French and Spanish and made accessible for the hearing impaired.
