Are you supporting the COVID-19 efforts in your country or locality? Have you begun preparing for the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines?
As of March 31, the international COVAX facility has shipped over 32 million COVID-19 vaccines to more than 70 countries. As the global collaboration intends to ship millions of more vaccines in the coming months, country-level public health officials must begin conducting social and behavior change (SBC) campaigns to promote the vaccine. Vaccines are one of the most effective public health measures to protect people from COVID-19 infection and to help return the world to normal. This makes a successful roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines a vitally important activity.
Join us April 15 for a live webinar and question and answer (Q&A) session on ways to design an SBC campaign – including building vaccine acceptance and mitigating vaccine hesitancy. Expert presenters will provide a background into vaccine hesitancy and vaccine communication, overview currently available COVID-19 vaccine materials and resources, and provide lessons learned from previous vaccine campaigns that can be used to strengthen COVID-19 vaccine communication.
Expert presenters will include:
- Rupali Limaye, PhD, Associate Scientist, Director of Behavioral and Implementation Science at the International Vaccine Access Center, Johns Hopkins University
- Deepa Pokharel, Communication for Development Specialist, UNICEF – Health Section, New York Headquarters
- Samuel Usman, Secretariat Director-Chief of Party, CORE Group Partners Project Nigeria Program
Format: This Springboard event will be a live webinar on the event page with Zoom integration. You will visit the event page at the time of the webinar to join the Zoom meeting. The session will consist of three presentations followed by a Q&A session.
