During the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the main decision-making strategies for public health interventions for prevention, response and mitigation of the disease has been the use of digital technologies.
The use of digital tools for data collection, analysis and publication, as well as in specific interventions such as case identification and follow-up, as well as contact follow-up, are being widely used by Latin American countries, with varying degrees of development and results.
In this discussion, we will learn the opinion of public health experts on the acceleration in the use of digital strategies in the response to the pandemic, the impact they have had, and what we can expect in the post-pandemic future in the digital transformation of public health in the countries of Latin America and other regions of the world.
