COVID-19 Through a Sex and Gender Lens: Implications for Women’s Health and Wellbeing

June 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am UTC-5

COVID-19 Through a Sex and Gender Lens: Implications for Women's Health and Wellbeing

The Johns Hopkins Center for Women’s Health, Sex, & Gender Research, along with the Johns Hopkins Specialized Center of Research Excellence in Sex and Age Differences in Immunity to Influenza, is pleased to announce a town hall discussion focused on sex and gender factors in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Pandemics, including COVID-19, are not gender neutral. Evidence suggests that the current COVID-19 pandemic has both primary and secondary effects related to sex and gender. This town hall will highlight some of the diverse ways in which sex, gender, and pregnancy impact COVID-19 disease progression and outcomes.
