This is a page on the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) listing information about the Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It explains that the variant is more contagious and causes more severe illness; therefore, unvaccinated people remain at the highest risk. People who are fully vaccinated could still get infected with the Delta variant but have a very low chance of developing severe illness and could spread it for a shorter period of time.
